Hey, thanks for stopping by.
Career overview
When I left university, I wasn’t sure what to do with myself and I was working in retail. Yearning for the ‘Friday feeling’, my career journey began in 2013 as a secretary at Barnett Waddingham in Liverpool.
With hard work, determination, and the support of some brilliant people along the way, I progressed steadily to eventually become a Senior Consultant at Gallagher in 2022.
My background may be in pensions, but my writing isn’t boxed in. From running and fundraising to award submissions, pitches and internal communications, I thrive on variety and new challenges, especially as I build something of my own.
I’m optimistic, organised, and a natural problem solver, known for building strong relationships quickly and bringing warmth and humour into my work (I sometimes sing and change the lyrics to songs to help get my point across). I’m also a proud advocate for diversity and inclusion, and I’ve been recognised for my contributions to fostering more inclusive environments and driving meaningful change.
Away from the keyboard
Outside of work, I don’t stay still for long. You’ll usually find me running, at the gym, at a concert or hopping on a plane to explore somewhere new.
I’m a foodie, I music lover and I’m an unapologetic Titanic fanatic - honestly, it would be my Mastermind topic of choice.
I also love volunteering at my local running club, St Albans Striders. It’s a community that really matters to me, both personally and professionally.
